We came from a Corolla Verso and liked the durability/versatility of the space. I've driven both in the same vehicle and the D4D was the engine that the Colorado deserved. I’ve had several hilux over the years,currently on 13th and never had issues with engine size.currently got 2.4 litre engine and regularly tow 2.8 ton mini digger on trailer with zero problems.only travel at 40/50 mph which is plenty fast enough Aswell.if they had 400 hp people would still want more power.
