God of War is a solid game that is held back from greatness by its reliance on gaming conventions. Firstly it is a 10 hour game needlessly stretched to double that through tedious gameplay loops to extend the runtime. It is my first total war! I wanted something lighter in the 4x than EU4 (my most played strategy game ) but also an slow, kinda realistic RTS . The game ticks all the boxes nicely.
