Short legs checking in! I normally only ride cruisers but I sat on an Africa Twin at a show once that had the dropped seat on it and got damn it was the first time I was comfortable on an adventure bike! It was still a toe touch, but doable. They are indeed lovely but way too big especially on dirt.

Exactly. Or get the exhaust where you hacksaw the mount in half and mount the exhaust up way higher and out of bent frame reach. The lack of electronics is the reason that bike is rad. Seen way too many tech packed bikes stranded in the middle of nowhere. My brother just bought a 2021 Ktm 890 adventure.

Africa twin reliability. I had zero technical issues with Africa Twin over 2 years and 99k km that were not my own fault. Africa twin engine. The engine is a liquid-cooled 998cc parallel twin with a 270-degree crank. That means that the engine has amazing torque at low rpm. This is convenient for off-road riding in the sand or technical terrain.
The AT is a decent sport touring bike, but it kind of depends on how sporty you want to get on the pavement. The 21" front limits feel and grip. At a reasonable pace, things are good. On dirt roads or dirt trails, the AT is great for its size. Surprisingly good.
